Why we built Magic Wishlist
Most Shopify wishlist apps follow the same pattern: a free tier with the basics, then everything useful (Klaviyo integration, variant alerts, custom CSS, revenue attribution) behind a paid plan. That works for app developers. It doesn't work for stores trying to get started.
Magic Wishlist is built differently. Every feature ships in the free tier. Variant-level saving, all four recovery email types, nine integrations, custom CSS, multi-language support, and revenue attribution analytics. No upsells, no email caps, no branding locks. We picked this model deliberately because the bar for a wishlist that actually drives sales should be the standard, not the upgrade.
The team
Magic Wishlist is built and maintained by Magic Apps, LLC , a small team led by Angelina S. We're Shopify Partners. We've built Shopify apps for years and have spent that time learning what actually helps merchants vs. what just looks good in a feature comparison chart.
Every email to support@getmagicapps.com gets a personal reply from someone on the team. No ticket queue, no AI bot, no escalation tiers. If something breaks, we fix it.
What we believe
- Free shouldn't mean stripped down. A wishlist app missing variant alerts or Klaviyo integration isn't a free app, it's a demo of a paid one.
- Recovery should be automated, not manual. The whole point of a wishlist is that saves turn into sales without you doing anything. Set it once, let it run.
- Variant-level accuracy is non-negotiable. Sending "back in stock" emails for sizes a shopper doesn't wear destroys trust faster than no email at all.
- No theme code edits. Online Store 2.0 app blocks have been the standard since 2021. Apps that still require theme edits are technical debt waiting to happen.
- Honest support. If we don't know the answer, we say so. If a feature doesn't exist, we say so. We'd rather lose a sale than overpromise.

Why is Magic Wishlist free?
The free model is deliberate. Most Shopify wishlist apps gate their best features (Klaviyo integration, variant alerts, custom CSS, revenue attribution) behind paid plans, which means smaller stores never get the full functionality. We chose to make the entire feature set free so the bar for an effective wishlist becomes the standard, not the upgrade.
How does Magic Wishlist make money if it is free?
Right now the focus is growing the user base and earning trust. If we introduce optional paid add-ons in the future, current users keep their free tier exactly as it is today. The core wishlist, recovery emails, and analytics will always be free.
Is Magic Wishlist a Shopify Partner app?
Yes. Magic Apps is a registered Shopify Partner. Magic Wishlist is listed on the Shopify App Store and built specifically for Shopify Online Store 2.0 themes using app blocks.
How do I get support?
